We were here on holiday with our 7 year old son. The village itself is a typical Touristic French village with lots of little lovely places to go, luckily we have a friend who loves in chamonix to show us the nicer local places. One of her ideas was to go up flegere, we found the views absolutely breathtaking and the weather was clear for us luckily. Our own cable car as we went in the off season. The only problem was the parking. I suggest you bus it or get there early to secure a space. Apart from that it was a brilliant day. Would happily go again.

Fantastic ski area with many slopes from green to black. Well maintained equipment with restaurants and bars... all with a breath taking view!

Big parking - that is what I like in Flegere. )) Good place to have rest in summer and winter. In summer Flegere is really good for hiking to Lac Blanc to see all this animals - ibex and marmottes, and surely, mountains and glaciers. Must visit.

Great ski station, efficient and not too many stairs to carry skis up. Nice staff, very helpful.

Sadly, the resort is not one of the gems of the region. The lifts are delapitated and barely functioning and the resort is operating well beyond its capacity. Queues are very long and so long I believe it to be quite dangerous. There was almost a crush to get back on the lift to the village with over 1000 people waiting to get onto a telecanine with a debit of 450people per hour. The resort randomly closed half the lifts for no apparent reason half way through the day even though there was no wind, medium avalanche risk and plenty of fresh snow from the previous night. The grooming of the resort was very poor and looked like they had not bothered to do anything making even simple blue runs into complex mogul fields. The food situation was dire. The restaurants were of course fully booked 3 days in advance and, as the resort is operating wildly over capacity, the snack bars had run out of hot food by 1330 and all food by 1400. The queue to be later told there was no food took already 45 minutes. I would do my best to avoid and go somewhere actually good, megeve, verbier, portes du soleil are all only a short distance away and offer much better experience without danger, hunger and poor piste conditions. The only reason it gets 2* is because the view is spectacular and unparalleled.
