Very nice castle surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Very beautiful castle but unfortunately not open to the public anymore
We've visited this castle several times over the past 40 years. The new owners have done a wonderful restoration to it. It never fails to please us.
The drive through the Burgundy hills is a great set-up for visiting the Chateau. The castle has been beautifully restored and has many pleasant views of the valley.
I came here multiple times as a child and young.man and they have made improvements throughout the years making more sections accessible to the public, renovating, and adding amenities like toilets. The biggest addition, perhaps controversially, is making the area in front of the stables a terrace with a few tables and small cafe menu available. I don't think it detracts too much. I used to be able to walk down into the moat and along the castle but now it is closed off. My grandparents who live nearby say it was recently purchased by \foreigners\ which may be why there have been bigger and more obvious improvements between visiting than in the past.
Château de La Rochepot is a 12th-century feudal castle of neo-Gothic-Burgundian style, rebuilt in the 15th century. In the 19th century, it was completely restored and covered with glazed burgundy tiles. It is located in the commune of La Rochepot in the Côte-d'Or department, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France.
A pretty chateau. It's actually restored after being almost completely destroyed during the Revolution. So, not quite like seeing the original, but it's interesting in its own way because of that. It was reconstructed in the early 1900s.
