Hi I am sharing one of the worst moments that I faced during my submission for Passport application at Lyon,Before visiting Lyon I Had visited the Vfs website to take an oppointment at Lyon but the facility was not available and then i was asked to go directly to Lyon for submission. I checked the web site for the timings it was mentioned 9h00-12h30 submission hours but I was able to make it only at 12h10 that was on friday ,i was told the office is closed at 12h00 this was not the information on the website. So I had to go the next week on Tuesday I had been on time around 11h00am Surprise the person is absent for the week ,so people like me what should I do ,There Is no proper information provided we waste our time and money going there. I dont trust in Lyon VfsIndia service they arenot good service providers for indian nationals .

This place is right in the middle of nowhere (no métro station within less than 12 km, which for Paris is almost impossible). As useless as possible! Of course, the photocopy machine didn't work the day I come and the staff had no clue as to where to find a solution. Luckily, there is a post office with people who are very polite and helpful.

If you need visa, then never go to VFS... the VFS official forget to keep necessary documents and that's why Indian Embassy hold my passport... did not refused but hold my passport for 3 months. Then I have withdrawn my passport and re-submit by a travel agency. Then travel agency demand me that document and I replied that VFS returned that document. Travel agency said that this document is necessary if you are not french nationality. I am Arab so that I have to give that documents. I lost three months because of VFS official's mistake. But whenever I went to VFS they never said that that happened because of their mistake. In addition, Indian embassy never inform you that they are not issuing visa for the lack of requirements. However, I got the visa by the travel agency and now ready to travel India. Honestly giving a suggestion, don't lost your time... submit visa by a travel agency which are dependable and you will get the visa earlier than VFS.

Two stars for the few good staffs. Otherwise, typical Indian Service standards. Awful! Pathetic Website maintenance with incorrect information. And access to this new location is even worse. Can't you find a better place with easy access? VFS global is maintaining different service standards for different countries. I had been to the UK Visa centre which deserves a 5 star. Not this.

Went here to apply for Birth certificate. They claim to have photo facility in house, all they have is photo booth which accepts ONLY coins. No facility to use credit card or notes. Wanted to apply BC for three people, since we didn't had coins, applied for only one person. The staff won't help you in exchanging notes for coins. Also, the information provided in website varies from the information provided by staff with regards to processing time etc., So be careful in your planning.

Went to get a copy of the BC. They wanted to me to take a picture from their booth (for 10Eur); while the photos outside are cheaper. Also, the photos accepted by the prefecture are not accepted by them. The BC received from them doesnt have that (expensive) photo. Not sure why the photo was required in the first place. Its money making business.
