Beautiful site, very well maintained terrain. Recommend visit as there are also some maps depicting movements of troops in WW2 and text detailing relevant events.

East of the Memorial lies the Wall of the Missing, where are inscribed the names of 1,557 servicemembers declared missing in action during Operation Overlord. 19 of these names bear a bronze rosette, meaning that their body was found and identified since the cemetery's dedication.
Quite a large memorial inside the American Cemetary. The large pond in front is very nice and leads to the garden. The large statue in the middle looks interesting. the alcoves on either side shows mititary maps which was also interesting. It is one of the buildings that is visible when walking around the cemetary. This one is also the closest to the parking lot so should be the first thing that you come acorss.
Silence, many people are here, but the silence is thrilling. Very impressed and so glad I visited this.
A must-see. Reminds us that freedom does not come for free.
If you visit here and are not moved by what you see then you're not human, just look out across the beach and try to imagine what these soldiers faced and the sacrifice they made, god bless them.
A worthy memorial to the brave people who lost their lives fighting for their country.
Realy impressif, you have to visite it one time.
