Well worth a visit, great views and sometimes there's an Expo. You can walk around as well as inside the castle.
On your around France... Then this should be on your List. The old town at the foot of the castle is so beautiful.

A place steeped in history at every step of the way inside this unique city. Lots of interesting shops and antiquities to see and read about. Plenty of locations to eat and all at a sensible price. Fantastic views from the walls over the surrounding area. I'd recommend staying here and visiting too. Thank you
Free ruins to check out! Clean and safe.
Road up was shut for building work at the bottom. The builders weren't impressed and weren't going to move their machine anytime soon. Having been before I know the views to be stunning though the building itself isn't much to write home about.
