I wanted to obtain a business visa. I hoped the consulate would be sympathetic to my query given the pandemic. They instead rushed me off the phone. I could tell I was bothering them. They provided me no information. Awful service!

We definitely have better Indian's who can represent our country at the consular. Its sadness me to see the staff so incompetent, unempathetic, rude and with terrible communication skills. I kindly request the authorities to take a look into this :(
This happened on March 16th, 2020. My passport was stolen on train when I had to return to UK to continue my business trip. Thankfully i still had the BRP with me. Consulate staff was quite reassuring. I was told that the passport will be ready by lunchtime. Though in an hour directions came from their superiors to close down the embassy due to the fast spreading Coronavirus. The embassy did close and we were asked to leave and communicate through email. Praveen is probably the biggest force behind most of the positive reviews here. He understood the urgency of our situation and with the shops closed even cooked snacks and tea for us who were stranded outside. Other officials who were working from home coordinated among themselves and somebody came from home to print our passports and managed to hand over the passports the same day at 5 pm for us to catch our 8 o'clock flight. I want to thank again the embassy staff and specially Praveen ji for such a warm and homely treatment in an event of distress.
Very excellent service and very co-operative staff, my uncle's passport was stolen in metro train at FRANKLIN D ROSSEVELT station, paris, we filed police complaint and next day at 9:00 am we went to consulate office, they were very helpful and gave emergency passport till 3:30 pm the same day. Very much satisfied with their service. NOTE: BE VERY MUCH CAREFUL WHEN TRAVELLING IN PARIS, SPECIALLY IN TRAIN, BUS AND TOURIST SPOTS AS PARIS IS FULL OF PICK POCKETS, SO I WOULD SUGGEST TO KEEP YOUR VALUABLE BELONGINGS IN HOTEL ROOM SAFE.
Lost my passport in Paris but the team @ consular section is both accomdating and welcoming. I got the Emergency Certificate within a day and very thankful to them.
The staff is too cooperative and it feels like home. They helped me on urgency basis and things were fine. :)

5 stars are not enough to describe the excellent experience I & my parents had today at the embassy. My parents lost their passport while on a tour in Paris & were super streesed, worried of being stranded in a new country, without any family support. Despite language barrier, the police were helpful lodging the complaint. Next day they went to this embassy at 10am & came out with the temporary passport at 5pm! Same dat new passport was a miracle. More than the quick processing, the staff were all very accommodating, warm & treated my parents like a family member. They not only offered moral support in such a strssed situation but also went out of the way to support the application process while I was still on the way to embassy. True example of patriotism- hats off to the team of Mr Prashant, Ms Romi, Ms. Saraswati, Mr Omkar & Mr. Khyl. And huge thank you for making us all feel like at home (we were offered home made Indian tea as well!). Pround to say we have such excellent staff on forign land.
