Recently reopened by new owners and thriving again, large and well laid out bar and restaurant equipped to a high standard and offering well kept beers, an imaginative menu and a convivial atmosphere. We meet up here when we visit, play some darts and enjoy the company. Also has a large carpark, sport on screens and occasional live music.
Often drop by when in town. Always nice to be there. Great staff, helpful and friendly. More enjoyable when the weather is good, lots of places to sit outside on the warmer evenings. Though never regret having to sit inside when not so warm or dry.
Outstanding kitchen standards and overall hospitality / service, and such good value for money! I just wished I lived closer to this bar/restaurant so i could eat lunch there more often! Also, a pretty good range of beers (by French standards!).
Very good food
Since change in management and reopening, this place has lost all the aviation memorabilia previously on display which I think is a pity. The beers available however are more varied than before and the Brooklyn IPA is recommended. The staff seem friendly and were working hard last night Friday. There was live music but a bit too loud to hold a conversation. Pity it's closed on Saturdays!
