Back in Burgundy. Clean but insecure place. Wanderers in several places and faulty lights
Lovely and clean with great services. There's two ticket offices here which can be a bit confusing for a tourist with limited French. One is dedicated to SNCF and tgv and the other for regional and intercity services. However, most of the staffs are friendly and helpful with the exception of the regional services side! It's wheelchair friendly and there's a public lavatory that costs .90 to use. Great setup with tram, buses, bicycle station and taxis just outside the entrance.
We arrived on a platform with no obvious lift. We asked three employees who were going down the stairs whether there was any lift. They said no, not on this platform and walked off offering no assistance. We had to carry our suitcases down the stairs and then tried to find the lift to get to the taxi. This lift was even hard to find. Eventually we did find it and got out of the station.
No elevators going up and down platforms. It is really hard to drag a suitcase in this situation. Furthermore, certain trains have really narrow stairs, so it is difficult to travel by train with a suitcase. Consider that before planning.
Good station small and easily navigated
Amazing place
