I can think of no better place to go to see a French market. Wednesday and Saturday mornings finds the place in a bustle. Shop for lunch and then find a seat in one of the local coffee bars to eat it. No one will object, unless they are offering their own food. From here there are wonderful walks taking you along the sea front and over to the next town of Douarnenez or alternately the opposite way will take you to the Sable Blanc Treboul. Out of season it can be quiet but that doesn't mean the coffee shops are closed. The walks are possibly more dramatic. Knowing that a cafe cognac is waiting at the cafe at the end makes nippy toes and fingers less painful. In season sitting with a glass of wine watching the boats coming and going is also recommended. Just writing this has given me itchy feet to get out and get walking.

A pretty marina at the heart of Trebul. There are several café bars, and retail shops as well as the marina management offices. In the summer season, there are children's rides and one of the car parks gets used on market days and for other events like antique sales or commercial promotions. Being a marina, there are frequent boating based events, advertised locally and kayaks, sailing lessons / hire available.
