Stunning place. Definitely worth the drive to. Water is like glass. A great place for a walk. Swim. And chill out.

Dichotomy ? Lovely, spend the day, take a pic-nic, walk the village trail 2 3/4 hour circuit) admire the dragon flies, admire the views, the fish, the scenery - it has it all. The rules are no swimming - the tourist info sites say visit the chateaux in the area then come here for a paddle in the cool water!! A little adventurous if you wish - you can try walking across natural stepping stones or jumping the narrow water ways. BE CAREFUL after heavy rain, the water levels can rise quickly. Great spot for children and grandparets alike.

Second year in a row we've been here. By September there is no fee for parking, it is in no way over-crowded (but enough people to feel like you can be there) and the weather is still great, 30 degrees today. The car park is fine, there is a toilet with toilet paper and it smells only of warm wood. The walk to the water is pleasant and the water clear. It was 19.7 degrees (I checked using the baby's bath thermometer out of curiosity). We picnicked by the largest pool then had a swim, our 8 month old baby too, he loved it in his little rubber ring, with the fish swimming around. Then we went up the gorge for a bit more swimming and splashing about. I wouldn't recommend carrying a baby up there but my husband is sure-footed enough. A great day out, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I can't find fault, hence 5 stars.

Be aware that water is extremely cold, even in hottest time of the year

What an amazing place! The landscape has been transformed over thousands of years with water erosion to create waterfalls, lagoons and natural beauty....the water is not deep but deep enough to dive or jump in off the cliffs or bank.
