Classic French bistro style cooking. Bavette steak done on wood fire. Double cooked chips. Cheap as chips 13:50 for 3 course formula. 1/2 bottle of house wine 3,50. Definitely worth a visit.

If you're ever in Domaine des Ormes, this is only a 10 minute walk from the site. Cracking wee bistro. Not haute cuisine, but food that is flavoursome and will fill you up. The meat, I had steak one day, pork the next is cooked on an open wood fire. The owner and his wife, typically French and if you make the effort with language you will get good service. Ignore Pete Tibbenham's comments, way off the mark. The best thing is the price. A 3 course lunch for 13.50 euros, a bottle of house red or white 6.50 euros and lots of different bottles besides. Menu changes slightly every day. Definitely a slice of rural France to soak up.
