Eurisy is rated 3 out of 5 in the category defense & space. Read and write reviews about Eurisy. Eurisy is a European non-profit association of over 30 government space agencies and other organisations involved in space activities. Eurisy was founded in 1989 by Hubert Curien, former French minister of Science and Technology, considered by many to be the “father of the European space programme”. Eurisy helps create stronger relations between the civil society and public and private organisations involved in space activities, in order to help diffuse innovation derived from European investments in space. In particular, Eurisy makes emerging satellite solutions better known to potential end-users who can employ them in many sectors of application: from transport to risk management, from habitat protection to energy, from climate change to the Internet of Things, to name but a few. By working with potential end-users on a grassroots level, Eurisy learns about their current and future needs and provides bottom-up feedback to decision-makers on possible measures to overcome obstacles to the diffusion of space-derived innovation in society.
