Not a tourist destination. This place is the birth place of the Order of St. Dominic. If you are interested in the history of the Order and wish to go for a retreat there or attend the divine office or attend Mass, then yes, worth a visit. There is also a book shop there where you can buy books, cards, icons, etc.

This is a pretty detour a little to the south of Bram, south west of Carcassonne, and (if we understood the sign correctly) the home of the Dominican order of nuns. It is a working convent. The abbey itself is undergoing renovations internally but it is grand in its design and very beautiful outside. If you like orthodox churches, tous is worth locating to check it out.

I figured that a convent in the South of France would be a nice place to relax and pray. It is that and more. There is much love in a life spent in service to others. You can attend their liturgy and gift shop. They have a very nice guest house.
