Visiting from USA and wanted to rent a bike. They have a sign on the window saying they rent bikes. I went in and asked to rent a bike (using Google translator as no one spoke English). The guy behind the counter called a woman from the back and they conversed for a minute then said no, they were doing inventory. Not helpful, rude. I think they just didn’t want to deal with an English speaker.

Bonjour, Un employé m' a fait un devis rapide et il m' avoué que mon vélo si on le répare, il coûte plus chère que un vélo d' occasion, sur le bon coin. Il ne se fera pas d' argent sur votre dos.
