Must see if you like gardens. We never saw the same thing twice and were easily there a couple of hours, well wife likes gardens but i enjoyed it too! There's a vast variety of garden and pond areas to view and photograph. On arrival you will be encouraged to walk barefoot, so TAKE YOUR SANDELS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE THEM OFF. The grass areas were perfectly manicured and felt like carpet. It's really well looked after, but not cheap. We paid 10.00 per adult (Aug 2018).

What a magical garden! So unexpected. Loved being able to walk barefoot.

Beautiful very well maintained garden! Must visit. The pathways are made of perfectly cut grass, on which you can walk bare-foot. Many different garden styles, including a maze! We spent hours here. The owner is happy to explain a thing or two about gardening, he speaks English. This place is not wheelchair or baby-stroller friendly. Use a baby-carrier instead.

We visited Berchigranges in 2016 and it is still making a major impression on me. I had never heard of it before and have never seen it reviewed in a UK/Irish garden publication but I think it is one of the greatest garden achievements I have ever experienced. Without being large-scale, publicly funded or subsidised by enormous wealth, it is complex, and nuanced with wonderful plants in many micro-landscapes or garden rooms. Worth a 3 hour detour or a week's pilgrimage! Not to be missed. I will always be grateful for this inspiration!

These gardens are stunning! One of the nicest mountain gardens I've ever been to. The combination of wild and manicured is perfectly balanced. Not sure why there isn't a dozen hotels overlooking this little slice of paradise. The tour guide is a super friendly very old sheep dog. You'll want to experience the tour while it is still around. :-)

Very well maintained garden. You are allowed to walk bare feet through the finely mown grass. There are ponds, trees, benches, mazes and of course beautifully flowers, butterflies and bees. I could spend my whole day here... were it not for that strange toilethouse in the middle. It has no seat. So all is maintained well, the small room is not. Fortunately it was clean.
