What a disappointment. The main course is a really beautifully designed course that is incredibly difficult for a 14 handicapper like me but a treat to play none the less. On the downside, no on course facilities at all, no halfway hut, mobile or anything and I am not sure that it was only as a result of covid. Our group had been promised buggys but the course decided that they weren't letting buggies out. Clearly many of our large group had cart bags and the course had about 10 electric trollies from the 1950's. The food in the hotel was shocking, we all returned the un-cooked chicken, the wine list was Red or White and when we asked for a cheese plate the answer was on\. The selection of drinks was extremely restricted. Finally the second course was in terrible condition the greens were ok but other than that nothing to recommend it. When I compare it to the facilities at other destination courses like Gleneagles and Celtic Manor there is simply no comparison. My advice stay in the UK and play at much better courses.

Unique course that shows you how hard yet beautiful golf can be
This place is absolutely amazing. If you are a golfer you will love this place. The course is immaculate. So well manicured. The staff are friendly and helpful. When we visited our start was delayed due to fog. They provided us with range balls and a gift bag with Tees, marker pen, pitch mark repairers and poker chip ball marker before going out. Very good test of golf. I would say you need to be mid to low handicap to be able to play this course. We were paired with a couple of German golfers who had quite high handicaps and they really struggled. The round took about 5 1/2 hours in total. The closing holes are absolutely amazing. I hope to return at some point in the future. I would highly recommend.
As a course to watch Tour golf it surely can't be beaten. Undulating rough makes for great viewing spots. The finish has to be one of the most challenging and spectacular! Will have to play here one day
Well maintained golf course with nice mounding ,fast greens and challenging rough. Courteous staff in the pro shop and the greenkeeping staff.. recommended
Great ryder cup golf course. Amazing event. Good food but very pricey as expected.
Aside from some memorable holes on the main course this place is a monumental disappointment. An overall 2 star experience, awful on course service (boiling hot, no halfway hut or drinks cart for a 250 round) bland hotel, average food, pathetic range (there is an empty world class range 2 mins away which nobody tells you about!!!!) The greens on the main course are diseased and putts never held their line, the second course is the worst I have played since I was 13, zero watering and no features. Sort it out fast else you will go under as our 40 man party will make sure we let people know to go elsewhere and avoid our huge mistake
Husband was so excited to play this golf course and it did not disappoint! He’s got a photo he took there saved as his screen saver and I’m pretty sure he’ll be talking about his round here for a while!
