Impressive square. Most surrounding houses on 3 sides are in great condition despite 2 world wars nearby. And all houses are different. The Beffroi witness of rich Guilds is remarkable

A lovely square, dominated by the town hall and bell tower at one end. Look for the free Augmented Reality binoculars in the SE corner of the square

A very impressive historic square. Full of restaurants, cafes and plenty of parking.

Simply beautiful, both day and night. A little gem in North France only 100 miles from Calais. Loads of restaurants and bars to choose from, all great value. And a night the whole place is lit up making it extra special to see.

Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful sunset too which helped. The square is lined with bars and cafés and everyone seems to congregate here at nights. Apparently in the summer the numbers of chairs and tables outside increases too. Lets hope they employ more staff as service was a bit slow at the bars we tried.

A beautiful location to listen to the bells and have a great dinner. There are lots of different options with all cuisine’s available in local restaurants. In the early mornings on the weekends you can catch a market nearby, throughout the day they are local shops and in the evening the shops close and it’s mainly just restaurants. In the centre of the courtyard there is sand pits were you often see kids playing in the sand and playing ball or soccer. My favourite place in the city to have a glass of wine and relax.

Fantastic place to spend a late summer afternoon. Full of locals enjoying a drink and the prices are reasonable from most of the cafes. Colouer Cafe was my favourite.
