Highly recommend this place. Amazing staff and service. Made us feel so welcome and accommodate our super late midnight arrival after ferry delays. Quirky rooms and an amazing restoration project of the old limestone rectory. Really enjoyed our over night and a few hours sightseeing around Caen. Simply a great stay

First of all it is an old, worn hotel. Destructive environment. Service is horrible too. We ordered this hotell to enjoy the swimming pool and sauna during a rainy day, but we were mistaking about reserving this place. You have to pay additional 15 euros per person to access a horrible, not fresh and cozy swimming pool and sauna. Fitness room is also just a joke, there is really nothing. The bedroom we got smelled cigarettes so we asked to cancel our reservation. That was not possible. We got another worn bedroom which was cold and the heaters were not possible to turn on by ourselves. One mark just that they exist, but should be renovated and there is a lot of work to do if they want their hotel guests feel well. Very bad experience.
Excellent, staff helpful, room comfortable. Very good position, near the centre of Carn. I didn't have time to use the pool, but would stay again.
Very disappointing. The room was very small with little space to put clothes which was awkward as I was staying for several days. The shower has no door so the bedroom filled with steam and the toilet door could not be closed when it was being used! Cooked breakfast is 16euros whether you have a boiled egg or everything. The continental breakfast is 8euros and served, very uncomfortably, in the bar with Euro techno-pop music playing (who thought that was a good idea at 8:00am). The restaurant is only adequate. There is much better fare in Caen centre and a great choice. There is a spa but you have to pay extra for it and it's usually switched off; you have to give a couple of hours notice. Good points: tea in the afternoon was very good (I'm British, I should know) and the hotel is well presented. Finally when they got my bill wrong and would not reply to my emails, I had to get Best Western HQ involved in USA and then it was finally resolved.
The restaurant was a bit overpriced, but the service and the spa were terrific.
A nice reception and clean hotel, everything expected was present. The bar is a tad expensive though. The spa is great for some relaxation, and breakfast is plenty, but be careful: it's not included in the price!
Clean, good quality/price
Good hotel. Friendly personnel, clean rooms and good breakfast service. The location in Caen is good, just in front of the castle and on the edge of citycentre.
