Very nice staff great for a morning coffee or two, a light lunch in a nice atmosphere and you can hire a SUP Board or a windsurfer good knowledge of local wind conditions, in short a very welcoming place. Also live entertainment in the evening

If you want to rent windsurfing kit at Almanarre, there are just two options. The Funboard Centre at the northern end of the bay, and the Spin-out Centre at the southern end. The prevailing wind is W-SW so its a choice between starboard tack cross-on in the north, port tack cross in the south. The launch at the northern Funboard Center is far easier. A sandy beach with plenty of space up and downwind (although there is a swimming area 50m downwind which must be avoided). The launch at Spin-out is difficult, rocky underfoot and less than 10m wide. However, there can be a tricky shore break at Funboard in a strong W or SW wind. The owners at Funboard are friendly and welcoming. Erick Thiémé is very high level, an ex-PWA sailor. Drinks, snacks and sit-out areas are available in the club. The ambiance is good. There is parking nearby. There is a reasonable range of windsurf kit for hire, mostly JP and Bic boards, with a few Fanatic Geckos and Blasts. The boards I used were in good condition, and the rest of the racks also looked good, but you must be attentive. I had a footstrap detach from the board. The sail wardrobe is not extensive, but unless you are very fussy, you will get close to what you want. Not always accurately rigged, again you need to be attentive. The sailing area is outstandingly good, and you can find any conditions you want if you pick your day. An East wind brings butter smooth sea, W or SW more bump and jump. No particular hazards. Good smooth wind with a long upwind fetch, so not gusty. Overall, highly recommended.
