Really cool as a family outing event. BUT know that you aren't free to explore on your own, you must do the guided tour to see inside. Also due to the many (400) steps, not for wheelchairs or strollers! The tour is live in French but includes an audio guide device to keep up with the guide in other languages, e.g. English. Bring a sweater for the indoor portions!
Really nice and interesting castle/fortress. The guided visit is a must !!
We visited on a Saturday morning - very interesting. There was a French guide, but we were able to listen to a portable guide in English. Excellent value,!
Beautiful castle built in the middle age on top of a rocky mountain, has a very interesting history, and has survived many battles in the past.

Very cool tour, though non French speakers beware, only guided tours are available and those are only available in French (though I believe audioguides are available)
