Lovely beach with a nice, shallow start of the lake. Ideal for families. The flamingo restaurant is open until 4th October, so even after the summer holiday a great place to go.

Lovely walk around the lake, lots of picnic areas and a lovely beach for the children.

A beautiful place for a relaxing day on the beach or a nice walk around the lake with a picnic. We would recommend that if you are walking around the perimeter of the lake, it is best to do it anti-clockwise as the picnic benches are all over to the left-hand side and therefore if you walk clockwise, you've walked pass them all by the time you need a break. A wonderful place though, full of wildlife and definitely worth a visit.

What a fantastic place. Free entry, lovely sandy beach with roped off area for swimming and lifeguards on duty. We went on a Wednesday and Thursday. Must have been something local happening on the Wednesday as it was much busier, you could also take out a kayak on the lake, also free, just needed to fill out a form with details. A couple of restaurants on the beach, with a reasonable priced menu, we had burger and fries for 8.50. Loads of walks around the lake too. Really impressed with the whole set up, well done Dordogne-Aquitaine.

Lots of places to sit in the shade (under the pine trees) and plenty of picnic tables if you bring your own lunch. You can park under the trees too. The sand is soft and good for making sandcastles and the beach is big enough to accommodate lots of people. There are lots of lifeguards so it's safe for kids. The cafes do a good variety of icecreams and burgers etc. You can even borrow kayaks and paddle boards if you're bored of swimming. A great family day out.
