Not bad, decoration is fun, there really is a cow on the ceiling. The menu has a huge choice based around steak, but there are other choices too. The service is good, we didn't wait too long even though there were two large groups. The steak was well cooked and even the side vegetables were tasty. The desert menu was also rather fun, with a big choice too and again not too bad. All in all good French home cooking.

This is a very good restaurant that specialises in beef dishes especially the local limousin beef. The decor has a farm yard theme and is very well done including an upside down farm yard complete with animals on the ceiling. The food is good and has a wide ranging menu despite the beef theme including escargot. I recommend the duck. Staff are friendly and don't mind speaking English.
2019. Went back for a second meal.... even better... l'oeuf poche en meurette is amazing. 2018. Just in after the meal, needs writing up now....I will have to add the photos later. A rainy Monday night in Limoges... nothing much open. My pick turns out to have two tables... full at 7pm. I trudge down the road heading for a(chain) pizza place.. takeaway. But there it is, open, practically empty. It fills up 5 minutes after I sit down. I'm lucky tonight! There really is a vache on the plafond... photo didn't work. You need to see it for yourself. The service is warm and rapid.. a kir in minutes. My foi de veau in rasberry vinegar with creamy mash, is a dream. A demi of rouge from Chinon is perfect, not too heavy. I sadly turn down the clafouti... too rich, alas. Next time for sure. Lovely meal, quirky decor... nice friendly staff. I skip back to the hotel a happy and well fed man.

I liked the food in this restaurant very much. One of the staff could speak English which was very fortunate for me because it is not very easy to find an English speaking restaurant in Limoges. I asked him to suggest me some local food and he didn't disappoint me. The wine was also great, but a little bit overpriced. All in all, it is not a very fancy and expensive restaurant, but a great place to eat some authentic local French food.
Had a lovely meal with tagliatelle, veal and mushrooms in a sauce followed by a dessert of cappuccino ice cream, rich hot chocolate sauce and meringue fingers. The décor was very interesting, very country stile. The place was packed and popular with the locals. We were served quite quickly.
