Nices places around! We did a lot of activities. We took the cable car to join Plomb du Cantal and came back by walking. We enjoyed amazing views. We also did horse riding.

Small french resort without any queues. Cosy atmosphere at resort level but not terribly sophisticated. Good for a day out if you happen to live close by.

The Lioran is one of the most important resorts of the Massif Central 5 with the largest number of tracks (45 including 10 green, 15 blue, 15 red and 5 black), the most efficient ski lift park (19 including a cable car , 2 chairlifts detachable , 6 fixed chairlifts , 6 ski lifts , a telebaby , 2 treadmills ), the largest area (150 hectares) and the second area of \u200b\u200bnight skiing. Thanks to its location on the volcano of Cantal , making it part of the Regional Natural Park Volcanoes of Auvergne , the Lioran has a rich natural heritage. Its altitude areas (called summer pastures) up to 1,855 meters above sea level, where are located many peaks including the Plomb du Cantal , the Puy du Rocher , the Bec de l'Aigle and the Teton of Venus , present important floristic interest and harbor many rare species. This characteristic, typical of the Monts du Cantal and whose pastoralism allows the maintenance, earned him to be part of the Natura 2000 Zone of the Cantal Massif. On the foothills of these mountains is an immense forest, punctuated by beeches. It is made up of the communal forests of Lioran, Belles-Aigues and the national forest of Plomb du Cantal.
