Le Parc Botanique de Haute Bretagne is one of the nicest gardens I have been to. It intrigues the visitor with the incredible number of different garden types. These are not immediately apparent but revealed gradually during the course of the visit. Formal gardens give way to a bamboo forest leading to more formal gardens, topiary, ponds, lakes, woodland walks, a Japanese garden and more besides, There are a good number of seats where it is possible to take in the atmosphere of the garden. My favourite is by a pond that has views of the chateau. There is a very good restaurant near the ticket office. It is excellent. I had a nice table in the garden under a sunshade. It is well worth a visit.

Impressive, beyond expectations. An exceptional afternoon walking around the extremely well presented gardens. Full of surprises, lots of ideas to use at home. Highly recommend

The parc is very nice and full of flowers and such. It is aimed to show differetn types of botanical gardens and sure does that. onthere is no water fountain around, so better bring your own. Service hours at resturant and tea room are very limited, so better brong your own food and have a picinic- plenty of space.. Waht was shocking was the lack of animals. Yes there were some birds but not so many. It is clear that they do not care for them. There were no nesting boxes, bird feeders or anything else towards animals. Worth the visit..
