LILLE. Nice appartement but furnished with low quality items. I think the apartments are made in a rush in other to rent out. Workers will sometimes come without sending message to alert you, you’d come and realize the heater has been left on. It’s been my worst experience with renting an apartment since I came to France. For the “état des lieux” to move into the apartment, it took 5 minutes but when I wanted to move out, it took almost an hour; luckily I didn’t spoil anything. Everything is badly managed and it took more than 2 months to get my caution, when the French law states at most two months. It’s just a nightmare and totally disorganized. After two months, I decided to move out. Interesting that the company replied to my comment but said nothing about the caution that took more than two months, against the French law. I sent emails and made calls to different people before getting my money back. Additionally about the état des lieux, i had to send messages of all the faults I found after moving in. For a place which is checked “before the tenant moves in” that’s very surprising. I have all the emails attesting to this. I found several issues but I decided to limit my reviews to these.

My daugther stayed in Lille from August to Decembre 5th . Regardless the apartment and the room quality, we underline the UNFAIR behavior related to the fact Colocatere Is keeping the contractual caution Money after almost 3 months of contractual rental end. Moreover pay attention that in front of several expediting action in written and phone way, Colocatere doesn't answer and doesn't give back the contractual caution Money ( bail contract considers 1 months)

They dont care about the tenants until you leave the apartement and it is time for them to charge for everything they find slighly different. I think I am going to import this business model to my country, they only have revenue and no costs. It is crazy!

They are the worst place to find a house. They took me 281 without any explanation, even if all the bedroom was perfect in the checkout, and the person who made the check out said to me that everything was ok and correct. They will find a way to take your money. They ask too many fees as internet and trash one. So, to avoid problems and take another resident to you.

03/07/2020 The worst housing company I have ever used. I barely received responses from my housing agent, half of my security deposit was taking and when I asked for an explanation as to why I received no answer. Not worth the hassle 06/07/2020 In response to your message, I had no problem waiting slightly longer for the deposit back as I understood that it was a turbulent time for everyone and the office was closed for sometime - that was not a problem. The problem for me is that when I did eventually receive the money I was not informed why it was so heavily reduced until I asked and the response that I received was extremely limited, simply a sentence saying over consumption of water and power in the house. Then, when I asked further explanation and an invoice regarding how much water and electricity was used, I received no response and have not until this day. In my opinion, had I received an email, a letter, a text etc in the beginning when I received my deposit back stating this is how much you receive and why (as it has been with every other housing company that I have ever been with) then this all could have been avoided. COVID-19 has affected me as well and I am not rich, so 175 euros is a lot of money to me. Considering the amount of time and money, I spent with your company I think that the least I deserved was a PERSONALISED explanation. It is unprofessional, completely avoidable and a mistake I will not be repeating.

During my stay I had nothing but good experiences with Colocatere. However after I moved out I had the most extreme difficulty getting my security deposit back, to which I still haven’t gotten the full amount and likely never will. I was told I would be getting my entire deposit of 420 (roughly 600 CAD) back within one month. That quickly changed to 335 when they took a bunch of charges from it. Then the agency spelled my name WRONG on the transfer so my bank had to decline have the payment to avoid fraud. When I expressed this to the agency they said they couldn’t do anything until they go the money back into their own account, even though I offered to provide a statement. Finally they received the money however now it was ONLY 214 (probably because their bank took fees). They said that’s all they could give me.... even though it was their agency who messed up and spelled my name wrong, so I get penalized for their error. I finally received a wire transfer of 214 CAD which I can only assume came from them (no one else is sending me wires???) which means all the ended up sending me was roughly 140. Absolutely disgusting the way it was handled, the agency took advantage of the fact that I’m no longer in France and knew there wasn’t much I could do about it from Canada. Do not recommend stay away!!!!!
