We’ve just got back from spending an amazing week at Hideaway Lake and we’ve had absolutely fantastic time, really didn’t want to leave. From the moment we got there, we fell in love with the place. It’s beautiful and so peaceful,a real hidden gem! Elaine and Steve are one of the most kind and helpful people we’ve ever met, superb hosts.Their son’s Jake and Harry are such a credit to them. They always made sure we were comfortable, always checked if we need anything, they were so polite and helpful and even help entertain the kids now and then lol and not forgetting the head bailiff Dylan (their dog)who’s great at locating the fish lol. The lake is stunning and you can see Steve,Elaine and the boys have worked hard to turn it into what it is today. The fish in the lake are in immaculate condition and there are some right crackers in there too. The food was homemade, fresh and delicious, 5star standard.Each meal was beautifully presented followed by a great selection of desserts which my daughter couldn’t get enough of. The pods are fantastic, beds very comfortable and Elaine and Steve thought about every detail. Toilets and shower are to a hotel standard, I’ve never been to a lake with such a clean toilets and shower. We could have stayed another week easily, even our teenage boy has enjoyed himself and my 7 year old daughter cried on the way home, so safe to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will be booking again for sure

Was a fantastic day. Family owners were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Myself, partner and 4yr old daughter had a Great day. Partner caught 34lb sturgeon but didn't manage to land it. Maybe next time. Would recommend to all.
My husband Gary has just finished 4 fantastic days fishing at Hideaway lake. From the moment he arrived until the end of his fishing Steve, Elaine and their boys were so friendly and helpful. The lake is stocked with some beautiful fish of various breeds and sizes with many over 30lb. He fished at the lake last year recording a PB and this year beat it again a few times. Casper the 34lb sturgeon made a few appearances as well. Steve is full of knowledge and Gary learnt a lot from him. He offers great advice and tips which were welcomed. He stayed in the single pod which was very clean with a comfortable bed. The shower and toilet facilities were kept very clean too. He was looked after very well and the breakfast baps and evening meal were all home cooked and served to the peg. Compliments to Elaine and the boys. He said he was treated better than at home. He definitely plans to return again.
Beautiful lake really is a hideaway. Worth a vosit
