This museum is well worth a visit see why the allies were never able to destroy it during the second world war, the concrete is massive and gives an insight into what can happen when a country is invaded. Like all the bunkers that can still be seen around the coast it was built with\slave\ labour. The submarine is interesting if only to give an idea of what is was like to live aboard in such a confined space, a rare opportunity to experience that. The bunkers are now being covered by solar panels so it will continue to have a useful purpose.

Very informative English language tour of the yards and the inside of K3. Didn't do the museum or any other tours, but the place is well worth a visit if you are interested in WW2 history. Allow plenty of time for your visit!

We did not get as far as a visit to this museum. Gave up trying to get the website to work and to understand the pricing from the brochure. Terrible unless you can speak French. Do they want visitors from overseas? I think not. We did not go.

Very poor signage to find the place. Tours very restricted in numbers and only in French. Sadly not worth the effort of getting their. Lorient needs to wake up to its heritage albeit German. It is still there and was a part of history Would not tell anyone it is a must see place If anything it should be avoided. Sorry Lorient but that is the truth.

Could do with better signage to locate, drove quite a way, only to find out you need to book tickets to enter the submarine and tour, the quay side was a nice walk though and the outside of the base wasn't charged for and was very impressive to view.

Nice museum, however the submarine is a '50 French model which doesn't belong into this museum I think. Worth the money though. Impressive buildings.

limited places on tours, cost not too bad but really need to book in advance to ensure that you can see everything.
