One of the best vegan meals we've eaten anywhere in the world. And to top it off, the owner, Alison, is simply wonderful. We don't live in France but we definitely hope to eat there again. Thank you, Alison!

I love this place! It is my go to for lunch. I find it excruciatingly difficult to find vegan restaurants/places that offer vegan/vegetarian options in Lyon especially since veganism is less popular in the gastronomic capital compared to North American cities and other larger European cities (e.g. Paris and London). Against the Grain never disappoints. They offer a wide range of creative and flavourful dishes and baked goods from daily soups, salads, vegan bowls, and more! The price of goods are reasonable - nothing more than 15 euros ( they offer combo options if you want a 3 course meal). Customers can dine in or get their food to go. If you are choosing to dine in, the ambiance is lovely. The restaurant is simplistic, clean, well lit, and seating is comfortable. The customer service is excellent - always with a big smile and they are bilingual (French and English for my fellow anglophones that are living and/or visiting Lyon). Will 100% recommend.

Delicious for both vegans and meat eaters. The recipes are always different and inventive. This is definitely my favorite foodie spot near work. Expect a little bit of a wait around lunchtime ;-)
