We stumbled across this absolute little gem walking through the streets of the old town. The owner, Mr Brochier, was such a wonderful, passionate man and he talked us through all the details and process of creating the beautiful natural silk scarves. He showed the life cycle of the living silkworms from their hatching to the production of their cocoon in the back of the store. Family owned business of four generations each passing on the technique and passion to the next one. They are still doing this the traditional way by a hand operated loom on site. There are only a few of these left in Lyon. The velvet pieces are hand painted with paintbrushes. The pieces are priceless and the scarves we took home are stunning. This is my best souvenir of Lyon.

Wonderful local silks, with many shapes and patterns to choose from. Also, get to learn about the various processes they use to make all of their products. We bought several scarves for our use, and as gifts, and the staff was very patient and helpful.
Great place to buy high quality silk items like scarfs. Prices are on the high side but the quality is second to none.

Grand savoir-faire dans le domaine de la soierie, passion, amour pour l'histoire et son travail ! Magnifique exposition et pièce unique ! Explications gratuites directement sur place et dans plusieurs langues ! C'est un MUST dans le Vieux Lyon, il faut absolument s'arrêter er rentrer !
