The place is nice and will be back again and again. Shisha is the best in lyon
I have been to over 100 shisha lounges in 20 different countries and Menzel serves better shisha than every single one of them.
My favorite shisha place in Lyon and it is located in my favorite part of the city (Vieux Lyon old part of the city) and it is very chill, nice people to chat with (if you choose to), friendly staff, goodnvibes, and they serve the best double pommes (2 apples shisha) in the city.
very beautiful place I recommend you. the service is nice and the waiters are too nice
A lovely cozy place with a great atmosphere. Totally recommend it.
Visited the place yesterday and quite frankly am surpirsed they get away with such TERRIBLE SERVICE. 1. Attentiveness aspect does not exist. We waited for over 13min just for a menu. After which the antagonizing wait for the actual sheesha and the coal change. Def worth ONE STAR. 2. Value for money. Well 15euro for Al Fakher sheesha maybe a tad ok BUT considering that the service is terrible, in the 55min we had sheesha there they changed coal ONCE after requesting them few times. The tea was too sweet and did come in a few minutes as well. All in all would def not recommend this place. If u dont speak french dont even bother going as they prefer to speak ONLY french when the other server clearly spoke english enough to communicate. If you are brave enough to go pls be careful where u sit, the sofas are DIRTY and full of stains.
Chica Menzel is the coziest salon du shisha in Lyon. Most are a different scene; loud music, uncomfortable seating, club like atmosphere. Menzel has a much more exotic, kushy vibe. Tucked away in a cave in Vieux Lyon, you descend into the Maroc like space with the smell of mint tea and shisha. They have a big selection of flavors, as well as the option of natural coals. You must order a drink with your hookah, but you really shouldn't pass up the mint tea. It's really awesome. They also serve a selection of honey soaked baklava and other middle-eastern style pastries. As well as cold drinks and turkish coffee. When you're seated you usually get a choice between a table or kushy pillows to melt into as you relax and smoke and start to become the caterpillar from Alice and Wonderland. Very friendly staff. Lot's of books and games and cards sprinkled around the salon. They often have a game on the TV as well. Highly recommend.
