A spectacularly magnificent square in the heart of Lyon and one of the most impressive I've visited in Europe. It's classified as a UNESCO world heritage site. This square is bound by the City Hall of Lyon, the Palais Saint Pierre which is the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, and the beginning of the La Croix Rousse. It has so much history tracing back to the middle 1500 and dark time during French Revolution. Today it's a mecca for tourists with three impressive landmarks; the Lyon City Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon and the Bartholdi fountain. It's surrounded by cafés and restaurants and we'll serviced by Lyon Metro tramway. A wonderful place to visit for all ages.
