This beach is fantastic. It's clean and there is a flagged area supervised by lifeguards. Bathers should pay attention to the flag system and waves can be pretty powerful so be warned. The beach is fully exposed to the Atlantic and the Bay of Biscay is known for its storms (though mostly in winter) so the breaks can be pretty impressive for the surfers. Those with an historical bent will find the remains of WW2 bunkers and gun emplacements of interest, though their menacing grey concrete is now brightly decorated with graffiti art.

Fantastic beach! If you're in arcachon visit here. You can walk here or take the petit train which we did and it me a thing easier when carrying beach stuff. We took sandwiches and stayed the whole day. There is a shack selling drinks and potentially food but we didn't look properly so can't be sure. Take note of what the life guards say as there's an unnoticeable strong current. You can walk a couple of mins past the main crowd and be fairly on your own which is beautiful. The beach is HUGE and stretches for miles with the freshest sea water. Simply beautiful
A beautiful beach area cap feret on the Atlantic side
Lovely place, clean, quiet... we really, really liked it and had a great time there...
Endless pristine beaches, the ocean is stunning, I had a walk for an hour and hardly met anyone. I did not expect such beauty. Simply breathtaking.
An amazing beach! One of the most beautiful I visited in France.
Fantastic beach, at 45 min distance from Arcachon by boat & petit train. Cafes on the beach and many other services in the village nearby in Cap Ferret.
Really nice beach. Highly recommend. German bunkers dot the beach.
