The gardens has plantings from the Provence area, and traditional herbal garden plants for medical purposes. There is another large garden laid out with plants from the world. So potatoes and maize would be in the Americas. This was very interesting as so many 'modern' vegetables imported and in the supermarkets grow on totally unrecognisable plants. This was an education. The guide to the site was on a mobile phone guide, which in principle sounded good. The guide knew where you were, and you could listen to the narrative in several languages. Alas in practice it did not work very well.

Wonderful gardens with a variation of plants from around the world . Very useful as want to landscape the garden at home in Provemce and was able to see what grows in the local area and coupled with the gardens was able to purchase books ! So now can set the landscaper to work. Very pleased!

Thematic gardens (pre-Columbus area, regional gardens,..) are interesting for any gardener. Exposition in monastery is benefit. Good books about gardening in shop.

The times in Google maps are wrong - we've been there yesterday - after 3 o'clock. The only visit is at 3 o'clock. A very unpolite member of the staff told us to go immediately and that it's not allowed to take pictures...
