Well. This is definitely one of the best pizza in Marseille. They are proud of their fresh tomatoes and it changes indeed a lot to the final taste. Welcoming staff. Simple place and tasty. You better book in advance !
Excellent pizza. Had to try the anchovies as it's a local staple. The cheese was equally as good. Reminds me of Italy.

Had an amazing pizza here. After a few days spent in the south of France, I had tried a variety of pizzas and was recommended this restaurant. It's not far from the Noailles market, and the streets were filled with activity when I went for dinner. I decided to sit outside and ordered a pizza with prosciutto, arugula and parmesan. In the meantime, I found out the restaurant operates with a wood burning oven, and has a longstanding reputation as being a Marseille quintessential. The pizza was outstanding, with a well charred base, that was crisp. The standout was definitely the tomatoes, which tasted charred, tangy and sweet all in the same mouthful. The toppings were also great, and I find arugula and prosciutto to pair very well. Marseille does have a reputation for pizza, and I would have loved to try out some more well known spots, but Chez Sauveur is a great choice.
We enjoyed our pasta lunch here. They have seating on two floors. When we walked in and saw that the restaurant was full / one of the patrons followed is our and told us about the upstairs seating and said the restaurant was very good. She was right. I liked my pesto spaghetti and my friend had sausage with pasta. Top it off with wine and ice cream for dessert and it was a super lunch. Our server was very friendly too.
