The second gateway is being 'renovated' since 8 years... and the first one closes at 1hour so that you're blocked on the other side of Massy and have to walk a 20minutes detour. Cherry on the cake : they closed it at 21h today.
Large hub, but they keep it clean. The RER B and C lines are separated and can be confusing to people who are unfamiliar with the layout.
Not the most inspiring of places but does it job. Quite a few steps which doesn’t help with baggage when transferring from the local trains to the TGV. Bit of a scrum when the train gets announced and then a wait in a dark concrete tunnel. Vending machines dotted about if you want any last minute snacks for the train.
The lift to the platform with tracks 2 and B does not work. There is no way to get there with big baggage or wheelchair.
Small TGV station, the place is a bit depressing, cold, and nothing much to do. You still have a piano and one or two shops. Changing train here is much easier than in Paris when you usually need to go to another big train station
We have a the RER B and C in the station and also long distance trains. In the TGV Gare you can find many different options if you want to rent a car.
The cab service I used outside was very costly. They took 80 euros to take me to Paris. Also, it is a very lonely place and I could not find any pre-paid service. Definitely, unfriendly to new travellers.
