Visited this historical place in May 2009. Goosebumps thinking about the Normandy Landings.
A fair reminder to the men who planned, built and installed the artificial port on the beaches of Arromanches and Utah. Both military engineers and civilian workers who participated in this project must be remembered with honor for all centuries. Come and see the memorial! My respect and admiration.
Beautiful view over the remains of the Mulberry harbour, and some interesting things to see.
What an honour to be a Sapper. I visited here today and the Royal Engineers name was all over the place. But to be singled out with our own monument at the top of the hill overlooking the harbour which our colleagues set up. Well that is an honour for our Regiment. I was moved to tears and I am a Sapper who is 71. Ex Army Apprentice School Chepstow group 62C. And various postings after Cove. Regards to fellow Sappers. Jones 449.

Very nice memorial.
