Over the past couple of years, we've enjoyed wonderful, fresh cod & chips from the Fat Mermaid. Right now (Jan 2021) they are closed of course, but Nadine & i certainly hope that they will ride out the storm and be back open and serving very soon. Bon courage!!

What a lovey place. The fish was delicious and the menu not overly complex. The portions were large and our entire party left feeling stuffed. The proprietors were so kind. Thankful to have an amazing place like this in Nice.
The best place for fried fish. Fish and chips, really tasty. They have an own made beer with some lemon flavor. Recommend this place.
Wow! What a place! I’m so glad we found the fat mermaid, because it was exactly what we needed. A really filling and delicious meal, and decent prices too. The staff were lovely and we had the chance to have a chat about the restaurant; we both hope it continues to thrive! Give this place your business everyone!
Had a delicious lunch of fresh Fish & Chips at this quirky cafe in Nice old Town. Staff were very warm & friendly with good service. They also offer craft beer and other beverages to enjoy with your lunch. This cafe is very clean & modern offering upstairs & downstairs dining areas. You can also recharge your phone/computer while you eat. I enjoyed my experience here.️
Ordered the Rita’s Fish & Chips, Moment style. It was good but the flavor was supposed to be lemon and dill and I didn’t taste that at all. Just a nicely battered fish. Their brews were delicious however!
Really a great find! The place was clean and modern with great decor. Charging outlets and usb hookups on the walls. The food was amazing. We had fish and chips in our group, and I had the special of the day, which was a bagel sandwich with cod, spinach leaves, tomato, cream cheese, and cucumber! It was refreshing and delicious!! This is a definite must eat at place if you are in Nice and want well priced seafood:)
