We had a very good experience at Douces Maternelles. When we moved back to France from the States we were looking for an international bilingual environment with a nurturing community. Our 2.5yr old started at Rue Crillon and was very happy. The team was wonderful and the activities were very imaginative and fun. My son was totally in love with his teachers and they were very kind and gentle with the little ones. They really encourage positive parenting and were very patient and caring towards my son. The only thing (as with many private preschools) is the lack of a garden or playground. The team does their best to get the kids out every day to the local playground so the children do get fresh air. My son then moved to the petit Musc location for the next year and they go to the playground 2x day so that is great. We are moving out of Paris so unfortunately will not be continuing at Douces Maternelles but I would highly recommend this preschool to parents. Importantly, parents have daily feedback and 1-1 time with the teachers every day (if wanted) which is not the case in a lot of schools. Also, children do not have to be potty trained and teachers help keep the children 'clean' (ie they clean their bum after the toilet) which is not the case in most schools. All in all a very positive experience.

We can truly recommend Douces Maternelle! We had 3 children at Douces Maternelle (Crillon and Petit Musc), and we loved the experience from the beginning to the end. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding already when we applied. Most importantly our children were very pleased with their school and happy to go there every morning!
Ma fille a fait sa toute petite section de maternelle dans cet établissement et j'ai été enchantée par la bienveillance de l'équipe, leur pédagogie basée sur l’apprentissage de l'autonomie et l'ouverture sur le monde. Les classes ont des effectifs réduits, les activités proposées sont variées (danse, cuisine, ateliers sensoriels, motricité) et les échanges avec les enseignants ont toujours été agréables. Je recommande chaleureusement cette école.
とても良い幼稚園です。先生方はとても温かく、根気強く接してくれます。1年強通った娘も先生方のおかげですっかり慣れ、友だちもできて、楽しく通うことができました。幼稚園は英語とフランス語ですが、フランス語家庭のお子さんが多いようです。
Notre fils a passé un an aux Douces Maternelles. Encadrement au top, activités créatives variées, grande bienveillance. Douces Maternelles, c'est une entrée merveilleuse dans le monde de l'école pour un enfant !
En tant que membre de l’équipe administrative, je peux observer le travail quotidien mis en place par les équipes pour répondre au mieux aux besoins de chaque enfant qu’il ait 2 ou 4 ans. L’accueil est vraiment individualisé, les enfants sont heureux de se rendre à la « petite école » tous les jours et les parents partent travailler en toute confiance.
