Quick ride up. Worth the couple of Euros. Have your ticket ready to avoid long lines. Views going up was great too.

Funicular works with the public transport ticket. Cear view of the city from up there. Sacré-Cœur and the surrounding area is amazing.
Efficient and fast. Included in Subway /metro/ ticket free of charge. Also available FoC for Paris Visite 1-3-5 days passes
Very useful if you want to skip the climb up to Sacre Couer. If you have the 1 day public transport ticket then funicular ride is free - just have your ticket ready for checks.
Fun ride, not sure I would have made it if I had to walk up all those stairs! We took a walk to Sacre Couer and notice signs for a funicular so though we would give it try since the cathedral is at the very top of a hill, definitely a "stairmaster" of an ascent. Fortunately, we had gotten the Navigo Decouverte pass so we could take the Metro and buses during our stay, and the pass worked on the funicular. Was a nice ride up to the top, and then back down when we were done. Probably saved us a half hour walking round trip as well! Great view from the top.
The funicular metro cabin near to the base of the basilica. The ticket is included in the Paris metro day-ticket.
Fun ride unless you would rather have a good leg workout on the stairs... oh by the way, once you do get to the church there are over 300 more stairs if you want to get to the dome of the church. Plenty of room for a stroller in the Funicular, my son enjoyed the ride very much. September is a good time to go)
Navigo passes, Daily passes, All do work perfect fine. Not quite evident to find this place if you don't remember the name as it's a bit far from nearby subway stations and the places in between are crowded. The ropeways are used for the loco. Wait time is generally 3-4 mins. Else the stairs and roads are always available. No checking of luggage and no restriction on the size of the same.
