Very high risk for tourist of being looted, cheated and theft around this place. Surroundings are very dirty with heavy smell. Always be in high alert and take good care of your valuables

I was in Paris with my wife in first week of February, 2020. We travelled to London by Eurostar from Gare du Nord station, Paris. Gare du Nord train station is the busiest railway station in Europe. It's 154 years old and have wonderful architecture. Eurostar check-in area is located on up stairs. For Eurostar trains have separate platforms. There are several shops, restaurants in the waiting area for Eurostar train. To ride in train passengers have to come down to the platform after security check. Our journey by Eurostar was amazing.

We use this station to take the Eurostar to and from London and Belgium. The waiting areas for Euro are fantastic and spacious. There are several unique shops in the station. Attendants are helpful and the place is located well for accessing downtown.

Gare du Nord is a pretty unpleasant train station. It seems disorganized and dirty. There are a limited number of places to sit. People are quite unfriendly. The actual trains leaving there are quite nice though and are on time. There are places to get a quick bite.

The station, particularly transferring to the metro, is pretty much guaranteed to get robbed / pickpocketed. Well known but nothing seems to be done about it. Please add security and protection for your visitors here.

Beautiful architecture! But felt really unsafe as there were a lot of people who just randomly come to you to sell drugs and to loot you. It was really scary for a first time visitor to be honest. But really admired the architecture. So keep your pockets and bags safe when you are at this spot.
