It was built for the 1937 Universal Exposition in the neoclassical style. In this palace the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. This is why in 1985 the central esplanade of the palace was named Parvis (square) of the Liberties and Rights of Man. From here you have a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.

This is a very touristic spot and s great one too! I can honestly say that coming here at any time of day and weather is worth it. The view of the Eiffel Tower is incredible that you won’t be disappointed! I usually come here to have a walk, take pictures or just to enjoy the view. There is a lot of space to walk around as well. And it’s close distance to cute restaurant and cafes. Make sure to put this spot on your must see location to visit when in Paris!!

Must see location if you’re visiting Paris! Great place to take a photo with the Eiffel Tower as a background. Very touristy spot so expect it to be busy. View is beautiful & incredible. It’s right by a metro station and two museums. It’s also in the movie Mission: Impossible (6) Fallout.

We didn't go into the museum but just the esplanade out front. The esplanade is located inside Trocadero Park at the top of the fountain. This area is also close to where the museum is. We didn't go into the museum but did spend a bit of time here taking a few photos of the Eiffel Tower. I could see why this place would give a really nice vantage but it was a bit foggy when we were there so the tower was incomplete. Even though it wasn't the best day for taking pictures of the tower it was still quite busy. The garden is also a nice place to walk around so it isn't a bad place to visit.

An excellent place start the visit to Eiffel Tower. You have a commending view of the tower from distance overlooking this iconic Paris attraction. The walk through the garden and crossing the bridge over river Seine towards the tower is very enjoyable.

The Palais definitely offers one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower in the city and panorama around the site. Because of how well-known the Palais is to tourists, it does get really busy during the day and it could distract from the beauty of the Palais and it’s a little difficult to get a nice photo with the crowds. However, it’s a must-see spot to visit in Paris and coming here in the early morning around sunrise would be the best time to visit and avoid the crowds.

Perfect spot to make photos with the Eiffel tower as a background. That’s why you will find many Asian mainly Chinese couples (brides/grooms to be) doing their pre-wedding photoshoot. Beautiful place and surroundings.

We finally made it to Europe! Although we won’t be able to explore other nearby countries we are glad to be here. Right now is considered the slow season for tourists since many do not opt for the cold/rainy weather here in Paris. However, it is very popular as it gets closer to Christmas and New Years Eve. We were lucky to find cheap flights from hopper that got us to France prior to the busier time of the month which was nice. There were strikes going on that were interfering with public transportation which also led to a decrease in tourists. Because of that we opted to walk everywhere which gave us the opportunity to see and experience the city from different perspectives. This location is very popular for viewing the Eiffel Tower and was taken from the Palais de Chaillot which is very common for a more full view of the tower. We recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowds. We were one of 5-6 other people at the time and actually got to witness a proposal taking place! While walking around we have also been able to see the tower through the streets of the city which is a more unique perspective and is what is pictured in the other photo. Because of Paris being such a touristy location it is easy to forget how many people live here and see the tower as just another structure on their way to school or work. - @wanderingwithustwo
