Graduate of 2014. Design school students have to be extremely self-motivated and open to succeed. PCA provided me with amazing opportunities to prove myself, work hard and become independent. This school is not for everyone. Yes, it is a totally different system than a college or university but the mixture of small international community and mentorship in small classes, plus relationships to certain industries is what I valued the most in my experience here.

PCA did not meet my expectations of what an art school should be. Do not recommend.

Love this place! Steve was the best tour guide here. You should ask him about his insta game though. Boy is something else on the gram. Ask for him at the door, he’ll hook you up.

I’ve been teaching at Paris College of Art for 15 years, in the Foundation year and in the Design Communication degree program. This semester we launched a “Personal Project” option for first-year students in which they have the entire semester to develop a project on a given theme. The theme we chose is “Animal and Language”, and I’ve been amazed to see what the students come up with, in a variety of media and taking very different approaches to the theme! They’ve conducted research, produced videos, performance pieces, jewelry, a range of intelligent, creative and exciting projects that I will be very proud to see exhibited to the public at our End of Year Show on May 16th. As a faculty member it is hugely rewarding to see a student’s progress from the beginning of the semester, when concepts are still unclear and the task seems daunting, to the end of the semester when students have found their voice and taken full and successful ownership of the project. I love it!

I transfered to Paris College of Art in 2012 to the communication design department, after graduating as an interior and product designer. So far I have only positive things to say about the school, one of the most interesting things about the school is that most of the faculty are professionals in their field and not only teaching without practical experience. The students are encourged to be very creative and conceptual and the school's community is very diverse and international. I am graduating this may and it has been a great experience to be part of Paris Collage of Art community.

There are some really nice people at the school who helped me out a lot in my transition into moving to Paris. However, the school over all I found to be very disorganized and the facilities were not well managed. For example, it was very difficult to find the intern schedule for the photo lab which was the only time students could use it. When I finally found a time when an intern was there, the printers seemed to be always out of ink. Computer labs were often filled so I was unable to do work there. The library looks like the school moved to the building a week ago but I believe they have been there for a year or two and it took me 5 attempts to get my student ID. Their saving grace is that there are some really wonderful teachers and good people who truly want to help the students. I also had a great opportunity as a exchange student to show my work in a gallery in Paris.

Having graduated from PCA in May 2014, I warmly recommend this school to anyone seeking an International artistic education in the beautiful Parisian landscape. The courses are very diverse and are often taught by stellar professors. Moreover, the classes are limited to a small number of attendees (10-15 people), which allows for personal, thorough feedback on each of your assignments. PCA also provided me with excellent partnership and internship opportunities with some of the most internationally renowned companies/fashion brands, many of which I knew I could never have secured otherwise. If you are a hardworking, eager and passionate person, if your intention is not simply to get a diploma but also -- and more importantly -- to make the most out of your educational experience, then PCA is the right place for you.
