I went to this police station to post a theft report. I knew that there is nothing that they can do, because there are hundreds of pickpockets every day in paris. I only needed a notification that I was at the station to get a duplicate driver's license in Austria and to regulate other things like the procurement of credit cards. I went there in the middle of the night, because the incident happend late. They wasen't able to give me the notification. They were so incompetent. It was also hard to communicate. Even the simplest English words were difficult for employees. I had a friend with me who speaks french. They said we got a tablet and then we can enter all the data to get a theft report. We waited about an hour before we were told that they couldn't. They told us to go to another police station. As I said it was in the middle of the night! The next day I was in the police station in the 4th district. Everything was done there within 20 minutes. The officer only knew a little English, which is a shame in a tourist town. In Austria we have C1 level after completing high school. The police officers do not have to conduct difficult debates, but they should be familiar with technical terms from their area. I myself work in a service profession and I also have to deal with English-speaking clients every day. The police station in the 2nd district is absolutely not recommended. In addition to the incompetence, the employees also looked as if they simply did not want to work. Go to the one in the 4th district. I hereby appreciate the Austrian police officers.

My wallet was stolen in the metro. I wanted to make a report. They send me away saying I should make it next day. Bad work.

The worst police work I have ever seen!!! Total ignore from tourists who being robbed, of them were sick and one was a child below the age of 12. Is this the true face of the true face of the frace law enforcement forces?

Très mauvais accueil. My purse was stolen in the neighborhood and I have been trying to file a complaint for the past 3 days but they keep refusing to allow me to do this. And they will not give me any indication of when I will be able to. It is very frustrating as I need proof of filing a complaint in order to do all the other paperwork to replace the things that were stolen. I would suggest trying a different commissariat if you have any problems in Paris. And it was completely unnecessary for them to tell me that \it is not our fault that your purse was stolen\, \we have the right to go on holiday too\, and also that \if you are unhappy you can write to the President\. Because, I did not accuse them of anything, crime occurs on holidays and weekends too, and as for writing to the President, perhaps I will, because as a taxpayer and Paris resident I am very disappointed about the way I was treated. Lastly, watch out for that pré-plainte on-line thing – if you do it they can take as much time as they want to contact you but in the meantime you are barred from filing a complaint in person. If I ever have another problem I will just go (to a different commissariat, with some identity documents) in person and wait in line – at least then I will be sure of filing my complaint.

Venu déposer une main courante un lundi matin, j'ai été bien accueilli à l'entrée et n'ai attendu que 5 minutes avant que ma demande soit prise en charge. Le gardien de la paix qui a recueilli ma main courante était courtois, à l'écoute et appliqué. Merci aux forces de police et aux services rendus aux citoyens tous les jours.

Merci beaucoup car nous avons pu reprendre possession de notre voiture qui avait été volée en Novembre 2019. Merci infiniment au Brigadier qui nous a appelé pour nous demander de venir récupérer le véhicule dans un parking privé du quartier. Il a été très gentil, disponible et nous a énormément aidé. De plus, les personnes à l'accueil du poste de police ont toutes été aimable, bien que débordées tout le monde était souriant.
