Called the Taiwanese consulate today, super nice staff and very helpful.

Very bad experience and unhelpful staffs I don’t know how can they get 5 starts... The staff on the phone spoke with very arrogant attitude. All I got just long-winded answers, I could hardly get a word in. When I wanted to ask more questions, she said too many people have been waiting in the line and gave me her colleague’s number. But no one answered the phone then disconnected by itself.
