This church from 17 century is absolutely unique, I've never visited one like this! By construction it resembles an overturned ship, wooden altar is decorated by 20 statues of saints, a choir walls are covered with ornament paintings, the main hall is lined with 3 rows of tribunes and the rear carries wonderful wooden organ.

Very unusual in that it had wooden galleries. Louis XIV married here in 1500s. Lovely interior space with an odd wooden miniature boat hanging from the ceiling like an unlit chandelier. Beautiful stained glass. This is certainly worth a quick visit even if not interested in churches because it is so different from the churches in Spain for example.

Edificio religioso di grande interesse, sia all'interno che all'esterno. All'essenzialità dell'architettura esterna si contrappone un interno sobriamente decorato, con belle gallerie in legno lungo le pareti lunghe. Da visitare assolutamente, è la perla di St. Jean de Luz.
