A really unexpected surprise. We visited this place on a drizzly day not expecting much more than a little walk around a ruin. From the very courteous lady in the shop, to the visible care they'd put into the different rooms in the tower, to the truly astonishing spiral staircase (worth the entrance fee in itself), we had a really nice 90 minute visit.

A beautiful castle with stunning views, the exhibits are interesting and there's is loads to explore! The highest tower isn't for those who fear hights !
Castle Hunaudaye are the remains of a very old chateau set in beautiful French countryside, it has a fascinating history with audio visual presentations in French with English subtitles and an English guide brochure, it's great for children, there are towers to climb with spectacular views of the French countryside, and dark passageways to explore.
