The backdrop for the statue of king Louis XIV on horseback, it forms a straight line with the Arc de Triomphe, the water tower and the Saint-Clement Aqueduct.
A big park downtown and Iconic of Montpelier, good to stay in hot summer for a break.
King Louis is always prancing around up here. It's one of 'must-sees' of Montpellier. Bring a picnic.
Beautiful spot up high with sweeping views and cool breezes. Doesn’t really open at 730 tho - most stalls are still setting up at 9. Great organic pastries with a decent selection of items for sale.
The Promenade du Peyrou was the first place that I can remember seeing in Montpellier upon arriving there in October, 1973 as a foreign exchange student.
Nice place to spend some time
Lovely place to see the views of Montpellier from the hill.
