very well done, if a bit word dense, ww1 museum. fantastic display of different equipment and uniforms juxtaposed with propaganda posters and art from all parties involved.
like
It is a good museum for familys and children. It never gets too bloody (except for the part by the german painter...hush hush kids) and it has a good storyline and explains many things in a way which is easy to understand.WW1 nerds and techfreaks will probably miss some hardware and more tactically orientated storyline. They can take it as a supplement to other places ,and enjoy the exhibitions of uniforms plus gear. The museum-shop has a lot of cartoons (plus books and stuff) about the great war in French.
wonderfully laid out and very touching
Modern well laid out displays with a good balance of exhibits from both sides in the war. Interesting array of uniforms and arms. The cafe overlooks a fishing lake and with a pleasant walk around.
Very informative but emotionally challenging.
Superb displays. Right on the original front line.
An excellent series of exhibits charting the historical origins of WW1 and the events of that war, with highly personalized examples of uniforms, armaments and personal vignettes of participants and their families. Very moving & educational for those of all ages. Recommended
I love to be there
