This is the most amazing food market - ever. Saturdays.
Must not miss this market. We love the variety of food: fresh fruit and vegetables for bargaining price, meat, cheese, seafood. The grilled food kiosk is good too. One off the things you should not miss is the patisserie especially the homemade kouign-amann. Also, dont miss thee flowers and the little plants :)
The best market, quality product and a big choice
Ok I've mixed feelings about this place. Firstly, it is a huge market with almost all the veggies and fruits plus other local stuffs from Bretagne, but the reason I went here was for the quality, which I feel is not so different than the Bio products that I buy from the supermarket. The other reason I went there was to try the hyped local street food which was so bad that a point we felt like vomiting. I'd never ever eat there ever if I go there. Although the good thing is I saw some of the very rare vegetables that I never see in the supermarkets. I'll visit again to explore more.
The Marché des Lices is a must do while visiting Rennes. There are an incredible amount vendors at the market, and they sell everything from fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, bread, cheese, and everything in between. We love to go every Saturday and wander the market, and there are also many great options for fully prepared food as well! You have to go to the Marché des Lices, and you have to get a gallete saucisse while you're there!
You can find all kind of vegetables, fruits, fish, flowers, or you can simply enjoy the view and street music
