We stayed 4 summers in a row because we like the location and restaurant service (including food). The hotel is 4 stars but the residence (annex to the hotel) not more than 3 stars. The place is clean, albeit the in the annex the room service is appalling. Opening hours of the SPA have improved but are still erratic. Strange male swimming suits rules (essentially you have to wear a plastic underwear very tight to your body and as a result feel like a geek) and no deckchairs at the outside pool, which reduces the score quite heavily.

Our Residence apartment was clean and tidy on arrival. Concrete floors and walls mean very little noise from neighbours. The kitchen was equipped with dishwasher, basic cutlery and crockery, but we went to the supermarket to buy a new corkscrew and cheap kettle. We had lovely weather, so needed to sleep with the window open. Even so, it was very warm inside. There was a little noise from nearby streets, but not too much (hotel residents might get more noise from a nearby bar). All (I think) apartments have a balcony with table and chairs. North facing apartments in the block we were in get less sun (not until late afternoon), but have the better view.. As other reviewers have said, the Thalasso complex is across the road from the beach, but there is a big gap in the beach-side buildings adjacent to Thalasso so you do still get a decent view from the North and West facing apartments. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice, choosing their "Menu Instant" which we enjoyed and thought reasonably priced as was the wine. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The pool is nice. Well kept and clean with safety fencing to get into the pool area. The majority of the rest of the outdoor area is fairly course grass, I didn't see anyone making use of it. There is plenty of parking. There are good paths nearby including a walk .up a wooded valley and a walking/cycle track into town. If returning to Concarneau, I would definitely consider the Thalasso Residence again. A word of warning, check your bill carefully on departure to make sure the right daily rate has been applied.

This was our second stay at this hotel resort and it wont be our last, We had a very nive relaxing break, The treatment rooms are very relaxing and staff are very friendly.
